Hello again. So December, the 'season of joy and goodwill' hasn't been too bad, despite the earthquakes in New Zealand, the fatal tropical storm on the 16th in the Philippines. But there have been some good things this month...
On December 15th the US formally declared an end to the Iraq war.
The Large Hadron Collider found that particle that is meant to disprove Einstein's theory.
The Project for Awesome raised over $71,000 for charity
Alex Day became the first unsigned artist to get into the top 10 and claimed the number 4 spot this Christmas.
There have been good things
and bad things.
But that's life, it isn't fair but sometimes it will surprise you.
We've just got to keep on living each day like it's our last.

But I'm cold as, the wind blows
So hold me in your arms''

''Christmas Cheer''
Well it's Christmas Eve, which is, arguably, the most stressful time of year. At least it is with my family. Parents completely out of their minds with the number of rooms they have to clean and ordering us around with the strictness of an army officer. Brother driving me absolutely out of my mind. Yup. My idea of Christmas cheer all over.
Not to mention my cousins, aunt and uncle coming down. This will not be fun.
Oh well, lets hope tomorrow will be better eh?

Dirty Forever
Well it's the 18th December which means finally the start of the christmas chart countdown! I know who I'm backing this year. No it's not 'Little Mix' or any 'famous artist'. This year I'm backing youtuber Alex Day as a proud member of the Nermie Army :) Well he's been working for years to try and get a number one and finally he's managed to hold number 4 with his song Forever Yours. Well done Alex!
On a umm slightly related topic (being that it occured today) Mable is extremly dirty! I swear I sweep the frontroom, get a dirt pile about 20x20cm. i turn my back for 10 minutes and I get a pile that big again!!

Why?
Todays modern world is plagued with overpriced, overconfident clothing brands. We've all seen them; Jack Wills, Hollister, Superdry and checked them out at one point or another; only to find that the cheapest item of clothing they have is a £10 pair of socks!
Seriously, I swear 3/4 of my year are obsessed with the latest Jack Wills gillet. For goodness sakes why spend £90 on a body warmer that you could buy in the same design at somewhere like Tesco for £20! All for the sake of some weird little embroided bird with a walking stick.
YOU are paying THEM to advertise THEIR clothing! Why?!
It's stupid, ridiculous and a waste of money.
So another short post/rant...

Riots. Suck.
So if you are in primary or secondary school you will have probably been off school today. Me? I get stuck having to go into the hospital where I get my daily shots of stress; school (which was practically pointless as most of my lessons didn't even have a teacher).
Oh the joys of private school!
So yes, I will admit the few lessons where we didnt really have to do anything (art) were enjoyable. If by enjoyable you mean your sub teacher(s) being the headmistress and the head of the secondary school and practically hiding in the store room to have a decent time (not in that way!) with the few people in my class.
So the good riots suck for those who are unaffected by them.

Over enthusiasm and knifey knives
So last night I found out that I am epic at Black Ops. Well at least when playing a 2v1 match against 2 year 11 girls. 2000-100 (2000 being my score hehe). I also found out that I get waaay too excited and found my self shouting knify knify knife everytime I stabbed someone.... yeah told you I get overly involved.
As you have probably figured out by now I'm not a daily/weekly blogger. I'm a bit like a child with a new toy with blogspot. I'll play with it constantly then forget about it. So you'll probably only get a post when I remember or have something worth talking about. (not both at once, cant spoil you now can I?)
Either way another partially useless blog from my part and a thoroughly bored mind on yours.

Mable...Maple... I cant decide
Hi there again readers that don't exist. Well lets face it i don't exactly blog about exciting things now do I? Either way today, my dad brought home a new dog from the briard rescue centre and after about 2 hours trying to get her to come up the drive way we managed to get her inside. Shes lovely :)
She doesn't respond to the name her owners gave her 'Amy' so we got the chance to rename her. We decided on Mable but yeah I may end up calling her Maple.

The world from newly aged eyes
Well that title suggests philisophical things that wont be mentioned. Well they're not.
So on Monday 14th November I turned 16. If you are American theres a few things we British can do once 16... but THAT is not what Im interested in. I just seriously want a job.
Onto other things there are times in life where you just cry for no reason at something so beautiful, so wonderfully amazingly brilliant that it stirs up something inside you. (okay slightly philisophical there) Either way I just had one of those moments, sat on my bed, listening (really listening not just background noise listening) to Guiding Light by Muse. It is possibly one of the most soulful, wonderful songs that I have ever heard. Just pure brilliance.
So this is rather short. I never tend to have things to blog about. But believe me there are many things I want to write here, they're just too personal so I have to find 'mundane' topics to talk about. Which is very, very hard.

Hi There.
So, with the awkwardness of a teenage girl; hi.
Over a year ago I started blogging to get rid of all those fears, worries and annoying little voices in your head that tell you your annoyed. Then I woke up this morning (at a ridiculous 8:30 on a Sunday -_-) read someones blog and thought, hey, why not blog for real, do something worthwhile, if not bore the person whos reading it (not that anyone will).
Thus here I am, and here you are, reading and typing a bunch of jumbled up letters, that only make sense to 20-25% of the people on this here planet; Earth.
So why not introduce myself...
My name is Kirsten, Im 15 (16 in 15 days), I live in Hampshire, England. There. Done. Finalemant.
Okay, okay, at the moment I am currently heading towards the end of my GCSE's, applying for colleges and being as nerdy as possible.
Yeah. I'm a nerd. More specifically a Nerdfighter, look the term up if you want; better yet if you know what it means already, your cool. Correction, your as cool as a puppy sized elephant (face it thats pretty darn cool)
As you have probably figured out, I love Dr Who (hence my blog title) I enjoy reading and have about 3 bookcases jammed full of books, which are in alphabetical order according to author, 1 of these precious books is signed, which makes it - my preciousssssss......
Along with Dr Who I love Harry Potter and consider myself to be either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor if it came down to it. Merlin and Lord of the Rings are other mild obsessions of mine.
Big Bang Theory is possibly the best programme ever. At least when Dr Who isn't on. (just thought I'd add that in there)
Thats about it about me, I guess you could say I'm an open book when it comes down to what I like. I am definatly not an open book in real life though.
Now, how to end the post.
I'll leave you with a quote.
''Ah, gravity - thou art a heartless bitch.'' <--- now that would have been a good title.
Either way, have a nice day, DFTBA.

Kirsten
